Three lucky Rewards members were treated to an exclusive gourmet meal in very special company, in September, when they won places at the AA Hospitality Awards.
Our competition winners witnessed celebrated chef and restaurateur Antonio Carluccio, pictured right, win the AA Lifetime Achievement Award, and saw Pierre Koffmann named as AA Chefs’ Chef of the Year.
The event, hosted by Kate Silverton, took place at the London Hilton, Park Lane and opened with a tribute to the AA Restaurant Guide by Heston Blumenthal and Raymond Blanc.
Jason Atherton, Chef Patron from Pollen Street Social, created the evening’s gourmet menu.
Rewards winner Tor Davies, pictured left, said: 'Sophia and I had a fantastic evening even if we didn't dance as much as I would have liked! The food was great, the lamb was particularly good with the accompanying yummy red wine, and I also really enjoyed Siren too.'
Winner Karen Crean added: 'It was a wonderful evening; we both thoroughly enjoyed the event, the champagne reception, the food and meeting new people. I’ve a real passion for the hospitality industry so winning the tickets to the awards was an excellent experience for me. The opportunity to be present at the Hilton Park Lane ceremony with the likes of Raymond Blanc, Antonio Carluccio and Pierre Koffmann was fantastic.'
And fellow winner Dawn Middleton, pictured far left, said: “We had a very enjoyable evening of fine wine, good food and friendly company.”
The AA Hospitality Awards recognise individuals and establishments for outstanding excellence in their field. This year the AA celebrated 20 years of its iconic Restaurant Guide.
The award event also sees the launch of the 2013 AA guides to UK hotels, restaurants, pubs and B&Bs which contain details of all the winning establishments.
