Ferrymans Way, Portland Road, WYKE REGIS, DT4 9YU
Situated in a spruced up wooden hut overlooking Chesil Beach, the Crab House Café has natural charms aplenty. Simplicity and freshness is the name of the game, with oysters coming from their own beds and everything sourced from within a 40-mile radius. Rustic benches outside are a treat in the warmer months, but it's all well and good if you've got to eat inside. Kick off with some oysters or home-smoked pollack mousse with a perky beetroot salsa, and follow up with whole John Dory flavoured with coriander and lime, but the fresh crabs are hard to ignore. Finish with milk chocolate and orange tart.
