Macdonald Alveston Manor

1 rosettes

A Tudor manor house only a few minutes' walk from the centre of the Shakespeare action in Stratford, Alveston brims with old-school charm. When you've wearied of minimalism in glass and steel, the gnarled oak beams and mullioned windows of the Manor dining room suddenly look luxurious. Traditional service from table-side trays is the vehicle for the kitchen's contemporary output. Kick off ham hock with pickled vegetables and apricot jam, or seared mackerel with spinach and chorizo, before moving onto pan-fried fillet of Scottish salmon with rösti wafer and dill velouté, or grilled rib-eye with traditional accompaniments.
