Palm Court Hotel

St Nicholas Cliff, SCARBOROUGH, YO11 2ES

1 rosettes

This grand old Victorian hotel has a modern decor that sits comfortably beside its elegant period features. Dinner is served in the elegant, neutral-toned restaurant, where tables swathed in floor-length linen sit beneath chandeliers. The kitchen relies on top-class local produce allied with tried-and-true culinary principles for its effect. Ham hock terrine with plum chutney and toasted brioche is a capably executed starter, followed by the simple comforts of roast belly pork with red cabbage, grain mustard mash and honey-glazed parsnips. Or there might be locally-landed cod matched with chorizo and red pepper vinaigrette, seafood pudding and spinach. Dessert is a refreshing duo of lemon tartlet and lemon curd sorbet.
