There's not much better publicity than winning MasterChef: The Professionals, so 2014 winner Jamie Scott got off to a flyer when he opened his own restaurant. Cheerful and enthusiastic service and a breezy contemporary decor make for a relaxed dining experience, while pin-sharp contemporary cooking from Scott and his team make it a hot ticket. Choose between the small plates or go for a pre-ordained tasting menu, and expect the likes of a glorious veggie number with violet artichoke, goats' curd and pickled carrots. The ingredients impress throughout - local hogget, say, with aubergine prepared three ways, or sea trout with a divine mussel emulsion. One to watch.
