Redesdale Arms

1 rosettes

This fine old Cotswold-stone inn has been a part of the bustling, picture-postcard-pretty Moreton scene for centuries, today offering a classy fusion of old and modern. It successfully blends venerable wood panelling, oak floorboards and exposed stone walls with a relaxed contemporary style, using tobacco-hued sofas, modern art and muted colour schemes. Dinner is served in the modern brasserie-styled rear conservatory, with its please-all menus conjured from quality, local and seasonal produce with simplicity and flavour to the fore. Take an opener of warm Cotswold goats' cheese and caramelised red onion tartlet with dressed leaves and balsamic and port wine syrup, and to follow, perhaps pan-seared Cornish sea bass fillet with sautéed potatoes, wilted spinach and a caviar and lemon butter sauce. To close, Greek yoghurt pannacotta with winter berry compôte.
