Tom's Kitchen

27 Cale Street, South Kensington, LONDON, SW3 3QP

2 rosettes

With its utilitarian good looks, Tom's Kitchen fizzes with life and bonhomie and it is the all-day, ground-floor brasserie where most of the action takes place at tightly packed wooden tables. Spicy crab cake, perked up with a cucumber and chilli salsa and packed with a goodly amount of crab, shows the way, or go for something along the lines of roast Yorkshire pigeon. Slow-cooked pork belly or roast monkfish tail are among the options for main while desserts might be apple and blackberry crumble with toasted almond ice cream. There's another branch in Somerset House in the West End.
