The Shangri-La occupies the 34th to 52nd floors of The Shard, so the full-drop windows in Ting, the restaurant on 35, pack quite a punch. The dining room is elegant, with a Chinoiserie feel, and the modern European menu has Asian influences. There's a chef's table, too, if you want to get close to the action. The five-course Market Menu might start with Dorset crab with apple, cauliflower and English caviar, and then chicken liver parfait and Cornish lobster risotto before a main of cured Ibérico pork, or dover sole with wild garlic and yuzu butter glaze.
