Salt Yard

54 Goodge Street, LONDON, W1T 4NA

2 rosettes

This buzzy restaurant in fashionable Fitzrovia deals in small-but-perfectly formed plates of vibrant food with a Spain-meets-Italy theme. The ground floor bar is the place for a glass of prosecco or cava with a plate of cured meats or cheese. For something more substantial, take a seat and graze, tapas-style, through a mix of the familiar and creative. Courgette flowers stuffed with goats' cheese and drizzled with honey will perk up the palate, and there are good technical skills on show. Lamb cutlets are perfectly cooked and served with fennel, caponata and saffron aïoli, or roast hake with ajo blanco, sautéed baby artichokes and olive crumble.
