Galvin at The Athenaeum

116 Piccadilly, LONDON, W1J 7BJ

2 rosettes

Dating from the mid-19th century, the art deco Athenaeum occupies a prime Mayfair spot overlooking Green Park. A vertical garden on the outside is a feature, while the restaurant pours on the style with an extensive refurbishment taking place in the first half of 2016, which will see the restaurant reopen as part of the Galvin brothers' empire, although this the first time they've taken on all the food operations of an entire hotel - room service included if you're planning a stay and want to get a taste of their offering. Expect very smart modern British-style cooking and inventive cuisine - one to watch for the future.
