Who knew jazz music and bold Iberian flavours are a winning combination? They most certainly are here at Eyre Brothers in the City of London. The restaurant is broken down into three dining areas where darkwood abounds, set off by eye-catching photographs and paintings. Dig into gutsy tapas at the long bar down the back wall and watch the red-hot kitchen action up close, while on the à la carte you'll find equally intense Spanish and Portugese flavours. There's roast chorizo with young broad beans with jamon, fried croûtons and coriander to start, then maybe roast breast of barbary duck with orange and black pepper and Catalan spinach sautéed with garlic, pine nuts and sultanas, or grilled fillet of acorn-fed Ibérico pig marinated with sweet paprika, thyme and garlic and served with patatas pobres. Don't miss dessert of tarta de Santiago - Galician orange and almond tart.
