25 Ganton Street, LONDON, W1F 9BP

1 rosettes

Dehesa comes from the same stable as Salt Yard and Opera Tavern and, like them, is a charcuterie and tapas bar dedicated to the cuisines of Spain and Italy. It's a small place and it's easy to see why it gets so busy: quality ingredients are handled professionally, following authentic recipes, to bring the flavours of those two countries to life in London. Bar snacks of house-cured duck breast, or jamón Ibérico, with a glass of fino make pleasing partners, or select from the full list of unfussy hot and cold dishes. Venetian-style sardines with sautéed onions, sultanas and pine nuts, and piquant salt-cod croquettes with sauce romesco are among the fish options, with tender confit pork belly with rosemary-scented cannellini beans, and fried lamb cutlet with broad beans, chilli and mint among the meat. You might not need extra vegetables like patatas fritas, but leave room for tempting puddings like chocolate cake with cappuccino ice cream.
