Tapas is the name of the game here and the place is cool and packed to the rafters. The no booking policy means queues are likely and, once in, you sit at the marble counter and tuck into small plates full of flavour. There are daily specials galore, superb cured meats and lots of things you've maybe not tried before. The crab croquetas should not be missed, there's milk-fed lamb's brains, fabulously fresh hake cooked on the plancha, deeply satisfying arroz de marisco, classic tortilla - the cooking is spot-on, the produce first class. Sweet courses offer no less satisfaction, and to drink there are excellent sherries and Spanish wines.
