Daniel Boulud's London restaurant bursts with contemporary glamour. The zinc-topped bar is a cool see-and-be-seen spot, staff whizz about, there's a contented hum in the dining rooms complete with open kitchen for cheffy action, while the menu speaks French with English translations. High-quality ingredients are prettily presented: rabbit terrine with asparagus and carrot is packed with flavour, while sea bass grilled Ó la plancha and served with ratatouille is a classy rustic-chic main course. For dessert, top-class pÔtisserie skills bring a classy confection of hazelnut dacquoise, milk chocolate mousse, pralinÚ feuillantine, caramelised hazelnuts and chocolate sorbet. Burgundy and the Rhone are the stars of the stellar wine list.
