A Soho bistro reinvented for the present age, the lively modern European cooking at number 10 has plenty to say for itself. Fish dishes in two sizes, such as gurnard with Jerusalem artichokes and black pudding, or mackerel chermoula with pomegranate and pistachio, indicate a flexible approach. Starters might be octopus carpaccio with chicory, fennel and blood orange, and meat mains perhaps venison with sprout tops and a parsnip and juniper pancake, or Middle-White pork with romanesco, pinenuts and puréed raisins. Finish with affogato, or pecan pie with maple and stout ice cream. All-day tapas such as crumbed goats' cheese and honey or mussel fritters are great snacking options.
