Perched on the harbour front of this north Devon coastal town, the Quay has a strong sense of identity. Adorned with original artworks by Damien Hirst at his more docile, the Atlantic Room with its vaulted ceiling is a bright and breezy setting for internationally inspired brasserie classics. Crab claws or crispy calamari in garlic mayonnaise, native oysters, or scallops in coriander, lime and chilli all make the most of the location, while for main, there are Exmoor steaks, cod and chorizo, or chicken breast with asparagus in tarragon cream. Finish with bread-and-butter pudding, or lemon curd cheesecake.
