The Wharf House Restaurant with Rooms

1 rosettes

The Wharf House overlooks a canal basin, and there are plenty of watery walks nearby. Eating out on the terrace might appeal, while the restaurant is an inviting prospect. 'We strive to work with the best of local suppliers,' declares the menu, and the produce benefits from modern treatments. Honey-roasted figs accompany air-cured ham and piccalilli, and chicken breast is stuffed with spinach, goats' cheese and sun-dried tomato and plated with roasted tomatoes, tomato chutney and smoked garlic potato purée. The fish of the day is always an option, and you could finish with exemplary rhubarb and ginger crumble with ginger ice cream.
