Named after an area of Tokyo, this bistro offers authentic Japanese dishes with a touch of panache in an informal café-like atmosphere of chunky wood chairs and bare tables. The menu is a mix of small plates and signature main dishes, with tempura mixes, stir-fried noodles and regulation sushi and sashimi. Deep-fried items such as karaage chicken in daikon sauce, tempura king prawns, and panko-crumbed tonkatsu pork curry are appealing, and the maki rolls are full of zippy freshness. Miso soup is made with good dashi stock, and you might conclude with dorayaki, a kind of Japanese crêpe flavoured with vanilla and filled with green tea ice cream.
