Balfes at The Westbury

Grafton Street, DUBLIN, ROI,

1 rosettes

With its own street entrance, and pavement tables, Balfes is an affable place with white walls, dark leather seats and a long bar counter down one end. Kick off in the morning with an omelette or blueberry pancakes with maple syrup or pop in for a lunch of roast sea trout with yuzu salt, asparagus and citrus hollandaise. The Josper oven turns out grilled gambas, served with harissa aļoli, and breast of free-range chicken partnered with chorizo and white bean cassoulet. A long list of cocktails appeals at any time of day. For dessert, Josper grilled pineapple with coconut competes for your attention with chocolate fondant with almond ice cream.
