Circle Restaurant Birmingham Hippodrome

1 rosettes

Pre-theatre dining doesn't get much closer to curtain-up than at this large, open-plan restaurant on the second floor of the Hippodrome. You can even save your dessert for the interval; a uniquely quirky touch. A contemporary room with crisp-white walls dotted with vibrant artwork and background music, service is friendly and the modern British cooking is confident. Seared tuna with green beans, lemon, black olives and confit tomatoes is one way to start, perhaps followed by a well-balanced main of Staffordshire pork belly fillet, crackling, bok choi, crispy potatoes, pineapple and curry oil. A well-presented Pina Colada pannacotta with pineapple, coconut and mint syrup is one of several enjoyable desserts.
