The Falls of Feugh Restaurant

Bridge of Feugh, BANCHORY, AB31 6NL

1 rosettes

In a bucolic spot by the river, surrounded by trees, the sound of running water is particularly evocative if you're sitting on the small terrace. There's a charming café, but the main draw is the modern French- and Scottish-inflected food on offer in the restaurant. Blond wood floors add a contemporary touch to the homely decor, while the cheerful service team are all smiles. Local ingredients get a good showing on a menu that offers classic flavour combinations in up-to-date preparations. Presse of smoked ham hock and parsley is well matched with spiced green tomato chutney and apple purée, followed perhaps by perfectly cooked hake with shellfish sauce.
