Cardinal's Hat

Friar Street, WORCESTER, WR1 2NA

Reputedly the oldest watering hole in Worcester's historic heart and located near the cathedral, this fine Georgian building is a handsome example of an English city pub. Three beautiful period interiors, sensitively refurbished a few years ago, impress with leaded windows, flagged floors, timber framing and oak panelling, stone fireplaces and chapel chairs, all warmed by log burners in winter. A secluded garden terrace is an ideal spot for a summer pint - whether it be one of the ever-changing guest ales, a craft cider, or a premium lager. The tasty bar snack menu includes sharing platters; a pork pie served warm with mushy peas; smoked kippers and toast; and Scotch eggs. Please note, children are welcome before 9pm.
