29 Broad Street, WOKINGHAM, RG40 1AU
A handsome detached period building fronted by elegant railings, this town-centre pub offers a friendly atmosphere and spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas. Children and dogs are welcome until 6pm, indeed regular child-centric events are an intrinsic element of the pub's busy social diary, which also includes two ale festivals and one for cider in summer. The menu offers sharing boards and dishes such as chicken or vegetable fajitas; Wadworth-battered fish of the day; broad bean, spinach, pea and mint risotto; and apple tarte Tatin, with custard, cream or ice cream. A set menu is available on Sundays.
