The Old Ship Inn

7 The Ridgeway, WEYMOUTH, DT3 5QQ

Thomas Hardy refers to this pub in his novels Under the Greenwood Tree and The Trumpet Major. It is the oldest pub in the village and has been welcoming travellers for 400 years. Copper pans, old clocks and a beamed open fire create just the right atmosphere inside, while outside the garden offers views over Weymouth. With a frequently changing menu, you will find good home cooked pub food here along with great real ales and traditional ciders. Change of hands.
