The Harrow Inn

This handsome thatched inn retains plenty of original character including exposed beams and inglenook fire, the grate of which is Grade II listed. Parts of The Harrow date back to 1747 and beer was brewed on site for the next century. Brewing ceased in 1863 but the pub still offers a range of ales such as Otter Bitter, which can be enjoyed with enticing dishes such as home-made parsnip and ginger soup; pheasant, chestnut and bacon terrine; puff-pastry steak and Otter pie; and braised ox cheeks with root vegetables and parsley and chive dumpling.
