Tim and Georgie Robinson's city-centre pub has both an L-shaped ground floor bar and a bar in the basement, which in the evenings becomes Quills restaurant. Food is freshly made in-house, from the modern pub classics and specials on the menu to the crisps and pork scratchings that go with Trelawny and Tribute beers. The diner's challenge is choosing between chicken schnitzel with mash; king prawn, salmon and lemon and rocket risotto; herb-crusted rack of lamb with Jerusalem artichoke dauphinoise; and baked red onions, toasted spiced couscous and grilled sweet potato.
