56 Wilford Road, RUDDINGTON, NG11 6EQ
Five miles south of Nottingham in the village of Ruddington, this refurbished pub has built up a reputation for its locally-sourced products, whether it's the pints of quirkily-named Ruddy Good Ale or the regionally-inspired food. Toasted sandwiches, melts and light bites are served throughout the afternoon, with the à la carte served lunchtimes and evenings. Typical dishes include Lincolnshire Poacher and spinach soufflé; roast monkfish tail coconut curry, fragrant rice, herb salad and toasted almonds; or slow-cooked pork shoulder, black pudding croquettes, rhubarb and ginger compôte. Leave room for blood orange posset with lemon curd, poppy seeds and granola.
