Built as a farmhouse in the 17th century, Bush Farm started serving cider, ale and perry in the early 1800s before becoming the Bush Inn in the 1890s. Spruced up and renamed by Jackie and Andrew Murphy a few years ago, the pub maintains its time-honoured reputation for serving quality local ales and ciders from breweries within 30 miles, alongside AA-Rosette standard food made from sustainable produce. Tuck into seared scallops, pea purée, roasted garlic and smoked Welsh bacon; or home-made faggots and creamed mashed potato with onion gravy and crushed peas. Finish with lemon-scented treacle tart with ginger ice cream. Dog-friendly accommodation is available.
