The George at Nunney

Set in a classic English village complete with moated castle ruins, this rambling inn has established itself as the hub of the village's lively community. Taken over by the Hedges family in spring 2012, it serves a choice of real ales, ciders and imported beers in the comfortable beamed bar. Lunch and dinner menus change every few weeks and the specials change weekly. A typical selection could comprise goat's cheese fritters, followed by paprika-infused chicken breast, bacon crisps and garlic and ginger cousous, and a banoffee tower to finish.
