Village Road, Hatch Beauchamp, TAUNTON, TA3 6SG
Surrounded by splendid Somerset countryside, the pub dates back to the mid-1700s and has its share of ghostly occupants. The inn prides itself on its friendly, community atmosphere and the quality of its wines and West Country beers. Wholesome home-made food is served, prepared from seasonally changing, local produce, with a good choice of snacks and pub classics for the early afternoon and evening; meals shown on the dinner menu could be Scotch egg Benedict; or lightly curried rabbit terrine to start, followed by pork fillet stuffed with feta and lemon; and beetroot and red wine risotto.
