The Tradesman's Arms

Formerly a brewhouse and cottages, this part-thatched 14th-century pub stands in the pretty village of Stokenham, just one mile from stunning Slapton Sands. Tables in the beer garden overlooking the village green and church are highly prized in summer, with a log-burning fire warming the beamed bar in colder months. Local ales such as Otter keep the drinkers happy, whilst bar meals and sandwiches are supplemented by a full menu that might start with pan-fried wood pigeon breast, carrot slaw, redcurrant gel and red wine jus followed by Cajun-spiced lamb rack with pea and chickpea falafel.
