Old Court House Inn

St Aubin's Harbour, ST AUBIN, JE3 8AB

This historic hotel and pub overlooks the harbour and has a popular alfresco eating trade and a long history dating back to 1450. The original courthouse at the rear of the property was first restored in 1611, while beneath the front part are enormous cellars where privateers stored their plunder. Three bars offer food, and there are two restaurants with terrific harbour views, plus there's an attractive courtyard. There's lots of locally caught fish on the menus of course, plus confit duck leg with thyme jus and lamb shank with red wine jus. Real ales include some from the Jersey Brewery.
