Harbour Front, PORT ISAAC, PL29 3RH
This 16th-century, one-time ship's chandlery could hardly be closer to Port Isaac's tiny harbour, so no wonder it has a reputation for seriously good fresh fish and seafood. Cornish Orchards cider, and real ales from Tintagel and Sharp's breweries are on hand pump in the bar, while in the heavy-beamed, galleried restaurant locally sourced dishes include Porthilly mussels; Doom Bar battered fish and chips; roast belly pork; and slow-braised ox cheek. On summer evenings the covered terrace overlooking the harbour is the perfect place to dine and enjoy music from the local bands. Park your car at the top of the village.
