The Defford Arms

Upton Road, Defford, PERSHORE, WR8 9BD

Rescued from dereliction by Neil and Sue Overton in 2007, the Defford stands testament to their efforts: they have eschewed music, gambling machines and TV in favour of old fashioned values. It's in a great location too, so days out at Croome Park, the three counties showground at Malvern, Cheltenham racecourse or Pershore plum festival could all include a welcome break here. Expect traditional home-made food such as chicken liver pâté and red onion jam; cottage pie; and cinnamon bread-and-butter pudding.
