The Black Sheep Brewery

Set up by Paul Theakston, a member of Masham's famous brewery family, in the former Wellgarth Maltings in 1992, the complex includes an excellent visitor centre and a popular bar-cum-bistro. Take a fascinating tour of the brewery, then take in the wonderful views over the River Ure and surrounding countryside as you sup tip-top pints of Riggwelter and Golden Sheep. Tuck into a good plate of food, perhaps braised beef, fish pie, pan-fried lambs' liver with black pudding, mash and rich onion gravy, or a roast beef sandwich.
