The Black Sheep Brewery

Paul Theakston, of Masham's famous brewing family, founded the Black Sheep Brewery in the early nineties according to traditional brewing principles. The complex boasts a visitor centre where you can enjoy a 'shepherded' tour of the brewhouse, before popping into the cosy bistro and 'baa...r' to sample the ales. The beers also find their way into a range of hearty dishes, including steak and Riggwelter casserole served with jacket potato.
