The Black Sheep Brewery

The Black Sheep Brewery was founded in the early nineties by Paul Theakston, of Masham's famous brewing family. The complex boasts a visitor centre where you can enjoy a 'shepherded' tour of the brewhouse, before popping into the cosy bistro and 'baa...r' to sample a freshly-made pint. With wonderful views over the River Ure and surrounding countryside, settle down to snack on a speciality ciabatta, or go the whole hog with a gammon steak cured in the famous ale.
