The Punch Bowl Inn

A Provenance Inns group member, the 16th-century Punch Bowl commands a central location in the village. Its beamed, wood-floored bar and tap-room's generous seating includes a settle, and there's a log fire in each of the six eating areas. Kick of a good meal with Yorkshire game terrine, spiced pear chutney and toasted brioche; or Cornish crab cake with Lousiana BBQ dip, then move onto to slow-cooked short rib of beef, wholegrain mustard mash, honeyed parsnips and Black Sheep ale gravy; or truffle honey glazed salmon fillet, cavolo nero and lemon and dill risotto. Summer barbecues are held in the courtyard.
