73 Rochdale Road, MANCHESTER, M4 4HY
A listed building famous for its sloping floor, glazed brick walls and barrel-vaulted ceiling, the Marble Arch is a fine example of Manchester's Victorian heritage. Part of the award-winning organic Marble Brewery, the pub was built in 1888 by celebrated architect Alfred Darbyshire for Manchester brewery B&J McKenna. An established favourite with beer aficionados and offering six regular ales and eight seasonal house beers, the pub offers a well-considered menu offering traditional bar meals of burgers and hot salt beef bagels to innovative mains including pan-fried halibut with Madras curry sauce and polenta cakes. It hosts its own beer festivals.
