Originally a block of 19th-century stables for horses delivering food from barges to the warehouses opposite, this beautifully restored canalside building reopened as a contemporary bar and grill over 20 years ago. The interior is full of surprises, with minimalist decor downstairs and an upper gallery displaying local artistic talent. At the bar you'll find Moorhouse's ales, cocktails and 15 wines by the glass. A grill restaurant is supplemented by a lunchtime bar menu and pizza range; choices from the renowned cheese and deli counter, displaying over 40 British and European savoury products, are served with freshly baked granary bread.
