A beautifully restored 19th-century stable building with a vast patio beside the 92nd lock of the Duke of Bridgewater canal, which opened in 1762. The interior is full of surprises, with minimalist décor downstairs and an upper gallery displaying local artistic talent. At the bar you'll find Moorhouse ales and Sweden's premium bottled cider. A grill restaurant is supplemented by a lunchtime bar menu and pizza range; choices from the renowned cheese and pâté counter, displaying over forty British and European savoury products, are served with freshly baked granary bread.
