New Forest Inn
Emery Down,
LYNDHURST,
SO43 7DY
In the heart of the New Forest with ponies passing (and occasionally entering) the front door, this traditional inn prides itself on its friendliness, great local atmosphere, and relaxed attitude to dogs. At least two guest cask ales are on offer throughout the year, in addition to the regular Ringwood Fortyniner and Flack Manor Double Drop. Food-wise, expect favourites such as duck liver and orange parfait with chutney and toast; braised game casserole with crusty bread; and honey-roasted ham with eggs and chips. There is a beer festival on the second weekend in July.

Nice looking pub. Food and drinks were very expensive for what you actually got. Service was very poor too. Slowish and had a real 'I dont care attitude'. We had 2 course, a bottle of wine, a couple of drinks and coffee and that was £95. A l;ot for a 'pub' . there is better food and much better value elsewhere. Food quuality was ok, but nothing to be excited about. We came away feeling a bit ripped off and pretty dissapointed.
