The Man at Arms

The Green, Bitteswell, LUTTERWORTH, LE17 4SB

Close to the market town of Lutterworth, this large village pub is named after a bequest by the Dowse Charity to the nearby village of Bitteswell in return for providing a 'man at arms' for times of war. It was the first pub bought by the King Henry's Taverns group; now, 30 years later, it has a smart, contemporary interior, all clean lines, wooden floorboards and high-backed leather seats, and shares a common menu with its sister pubs. Along with traditional favourites, there are international, fish and vegetarian dishes. Sizeable options include the Titanic Challenge - a rump steak weighing some three pounds.
