The Ditton

The pub part opened first, in 2008, followed a year later by adjoining Long's Brasserie. A 1930s building, it looks as though it was once two semi-detached houses but, whatever its origin, it has become a community local, with beers from Sharp's and Black Sheep. Looking over a typical menu, you'll find starters like smoked haddock Scotch egg on mixed leaves with a curried mayo or Parma ham, fig and goats' cheese mixed leaf salad; followed by pan-fried lambs liver on mash with fried onions, bacon and cabbage; Suffolk belly pork on dauphinoise potatoes with sugar snap peas and roast apple; or pub classics like fish and chips or chicken curry. Summer barbecues are held in the large beer garden. and there's also a skittle alley with league nights every Monday.
