The Wilton Arms

71 Kinnerton Street, LONDON, SW1X 8ED

Known locally as The Village Pub, this early 19th-century hostelry's other name is a reference to the 1st Earl of Wilton. In summer it is distinguished by fabulous flower-filled baskets and window boxes. High settles and bookcases create individual seating areas in the air-conditioned interior, and a conservatory covers the old garden. Shepherd Neame ales accompany traditional pub fare: scampi and chips; oversized burgers, or maybe a smoked salmon platter with brown bloomer bread.
