The Orange Public House & Hotel

Recognised for its approach to sustainability, The Orange comprises a number of light and airy adjoining rooms, which have a rustic Tuscan feel with their muted colours and potted orange trees on stripped wooden boards. Well-heeled locals quaff Adnams ales and Italian wines while selecting from menus of modern European dishes. Wood-fired pizzas and oven roasts lead the way, but the carte is full of good things: grilled English rose veal chop; line-caught cod with celeriac, apple, puy lentils, kale and Madeira jus; and steak, ale and cheddar pie, to list but a few.
