The Trumpet Inn
Trumpet,
LEDBURY,
HR8 2RA
This former coaching inn and post house takes its name from the days when mail coaches blew their horns on approaching the crossroads. A traditional black and white building, it dates back to the late 14th century. The cosy bars feature a wealth of exposed beams, with open fireplaces and a separate dining area. There is Camembert or fisherman's platters to share, and main courses like Mr Waller's trio of sausages with mash and onion gravy, Angus beef burgers, or risotto or pie of the day.

This was our 2nd visit to the Trumpet, we held a dinner there for 16 in March, in which the food and service were all fab and faultless, Lynn was a complete star. Today we revisited for sunday lunch,Lyn wasnt on duty, and a very different story!! Service wasnt as sharp or polite, the young guy was short and to the point. Food wasnt of the same standard, and as for the pate.. it was Mackerel and looked like a fur ball! No sauces/condiments were offered. very disapointing!
