The Fat Cat

288 Spring Road, IPSWICH, IP4 5NL

Good beer and conversation are the two main ingredients in this a traditional free house. The Fat Cat is a mecca for beer aficionados, with a friendly atmosphere in the homely bar and a raft of real ales served in tip-top condition from the taproom behind the bar. The head-scratching choice - up to 18 every day - come from Adnams, Woodforde's and Crouch Vale and a host of local and national breweries. Six real ciders, bottled Belgian beers, whiskies, gins and wine add to the considerable array. There's just simple bar snacks to accompany like home-made Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, pork pies and filled rolls. Please note, children are not allowed inside or in the garden.
