The John Thompson Inn & Brewery

INGLEBY, DE73 7HW

This 15th-century farmhouse became a pub in 1968, taking its name from licensee and owner John Thompson. Now run by son Nick, this traditional brew pub is set in idyllic countryside beside the banks of the River Trent with views of the neighbouring National Forest. This relaxed inn has a wealth of original features and is a friendly place to enjoy a pint of home-brewed JTS XXX and tuck into sarnies, jacket potatoes or order from the carvery menu. Other options include salads; gammon, egg and chips; and Mediterranean vegetable risotto.
