The New Harp Inn

The New Harp's slogan reads: 'Kids, dogs and muddy boots all welcome' - and it's certainly popular with locals, fishermen, campers and visitors to the countryside. Situated on the River Wye in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the pub has extensive gardens and a real babbling brook. Begin your visit with a local real ale or the home-produced cider. The menu includes starters such as leek and feta cake, tomato and olive tapenade; treacle and port-smoked salmon; then for mains, the 'drunken bunny' - rabbit, vegetable and Shiraz shortcrust pie; beer-battered Cornish cod and hand-cut chips; or an 8oz hanger steak. There's also a board for specials. Look out for bank holiday beer festivals and a cider festival on the Summer Bank Holiday.
