Bon Accord

153 North Street, GLASGOW, G3 7DA

Tourists from all over the world come to the 'Bon', Paul McDonagh and son Thomas's acclaimed alehouse and malt whisky bar. The reason? To sample some of the annual tally of a thousand-plus different beers, over 40 ciders (maybe at one of the four beer and cider festivals), or the 350-strong malts collection (a far cry from the original five on offer). Menus display all-day breakfasts, baguettes, giant Yorkshire puddings, chilli con carne, fish and chips, grilled steaks, chicken salads, macaroni cheese and vegetarian Glamorgan sausage (made with leek and Caerphilly).
