The Carpenters Arms

Felixkirk, in the Vale of Mowbray, has no shops, making this Provenance Inn owned pub the village's only retail establishment. To the east are the Hambleton Hills and the North Yorks Moors National Park, while west are the Yorkshire Dales. Bare stonework, slate flooring and rich red walls characterise the interior, and there's an open fire in the bar. The restaurant and tiered terrace offer the best views. Menu descriptions are simple: pan-seared salmon fillet; roasted chicken breast; sticky ribs; steak ciabatta. Check out The Magnificent Seven - seven main courses, including bangers and mash, each 7.
