Tuckers Grave

FAULKLAND, BA3 5XF

Tapped Butcombe ale and Cheddar Valley cider draw local aficionados to this unspoilt rural gem. Somerset's smallest pub has a tiny atmospheric bar with old settles but no counter, or music, TV or jukebox either. Lunchtime sandwiches are available, and a large lawn with flower borders makes an attractive outdoor seating area, with the countryside adjacent. The 'grave' in the pub's name is the unmarked one of Edward Tucker, who hung himself here in 1747.
